» Jeffrey Hudson, CEO, Vhayu

A key executive in four successful high-technology start-ups that have gone public, Jeffrey Hudson brings over 25 years of experience in information technology management. Most recently, Mr. Hudson was chairman and CEO at MS2, Inc., an enterprise software application company he founded in 1998. MS2 established a new application category called Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and was considered a pioneering leader of PLM enterprise class applications. Before founding MS2, he was senior vice president, corporate development at Informix Software, responsible for strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and the Informix Venture Fund. He has held numerous executive leadership posts as president and CEO of Visioneer, senior vice president of marketing, sales and service for NetFRAME Corporation and senior vice president positions responsible for marketing and worldwide customer service and support at WYSE Technology. He spent his early career in various sales and marketing management positions at IBM, Digital Equipment Corp. and Fortune Systems. Mr. Hudson earned a B.A. in communications at the University of California, Davis. He is currently on the board of directors at Pacific Crest Corporation.


» Rob Knourek, Tibco (Retired)

In his role at Vhayu, Robert Knourek brings over 20 years of leadership experience in developing and delivering high technology products and solutions for strategic clients in the financial services and other industries.

From 2000 to 2002, as president of Reuters Retail Solutions, Mr. Knourek was responsible for all aspects of Reuters retail business, including strategy and business development, general management and operations, product development and client solutions and consulting. During this time, he also served as the senior company officer of TIBCO Finance Technology.

Prior to his role at Reuters, Mr. Knourek spent over 12 years at TIBCO (formerly known as Teknekron Software Systems). He served as executive vice president of engineering and product management for the finance division of TIBCO, and was responsible for all aspects of product development and the delivery of integrated technology solutions to TIBCO's clients in the financial services industry. Mr. Knourek also served as director of client consulting and was responsible for a wide range of client solutions, including front-office automation, order-management systems, energy-trading systems, exchange-automation solutions and re-engineering projects in the clearing and settlement business.

Before joining Teknekron, Mr. Knourek worked in the government services and the energy industries for eight years, implementing expert systems, automation systems and process-control systems for Lockheed Corporation, Martin Marietta Aerospace and Amoco Production Company. His background includes experience as a research statistician and several years as a university lecturer. He has served on several boards of directors and currently is a member of several advisory boards. He has received various industry awards, including the ComputerWorld 2001 award for innovation in retail financial services and the SUN I-Force Heroes program award.

Mr. Knourek holds a Masters of Science degree in statistics and a Bachelors degree in mathematics from University of Illinois.


» Arvind Purushotham, Managing Director, Menlo Ventures

Arvind Purushotham joined Menlo Ventures in 2001. He started his career as a chip designer working on low power versions of the Pentium Processor¨ in the Mobile Group at Intel Corporation. Later he became the program manager of the Mobile Pentium II¨ Processor effort and contributed to several successful product launches. His professional career includes brief stints as an investment banking intern at Robertson Stephens and as an associate at the Summit Accelerator Fund. At Menlo, Mr. Purushotham has been involved with the firm's investments in Cavium Networks, nCircle Network Security, ProfitLine and Xpedion Design Systems. Mr. Purushotham is a graduate of the Harvard University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), Case Western Reserve University (M.S. in electrical engineering) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (B.Tech. in electrical engineering).


» Ashutosh Roy, Chairman & CEO, eGain

Ashutosh Roy co-founded eGain and has served its chief executive officer and chairman since 1997. From 1995 through 1997, Mr. Roy served as chairman of WhoWhere? Inc., an Internet-service company he co-founded. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Roy co-founded Parsec Technologies, an international call center software company based out of India. From 1988 through 1992, Mr. Roy worked in various software engineering positions at Digital Equipment Corp. Mr. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, a Masters degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.


» Tejpal Chada, Vhayu Co-Founder / CTO, Nirvana Solutions

A technologist who began his career at IBM in the 1980s, Tejpal Chadha has held key management roles at Intel Corporation working on the development teams for the Pentium™ and Merced™ chips in the 1990s. Mr. Chadha, together with his partner, Ken Williams, developed the concept of creating an Internet search engine specifically for real-time financial market data. As co-founder of Vhayu, he developed the core technology for the company's product, secured funding and assembled a team of advisors and management. Prior to launching Vhayu, Mr. Chadha was co-founder and chief technology officer of Gizmo Technology Corporation, a company involved in the investigation, development and analysis of key microprocessor technology and systems required for 21st century set-top box, PC, embedded and client/server products (Gizmos of the world). Mr. Chadha received a Bachelor of Technology degree in electronics engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Benaras, India and holds a Masters of Science degree in computer engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

» John Comerford, EVP, Global Head of Trading Research, Instinet

John Comerford is a managing director and head of quantitative trading research at Nomura Securities International. He is responsible for quantitative research and automated trading for Nomura's US Equity Sales and Trading group.

Mr. Comerford joined Nomura from Charles Schwab Capital Markets, where he was head of quantitative trading and research for Schwab's Program Trading group. Prior to Schwab, he spent nine years as a portfolio manager at Symphony Asset Management, where he managed market neutral hedge funds, developed new fund strategies and built and ran a U.S. trading desk. He started his career at NISA Investment Advisors, where he was integral in researching and managing the firm's Efficient Index and where he also developed multi-factor expected return models.


» Shamik Mehta, President, Asian Operations, Tibco

Shamik Mehta brings over 25 years of sales, marketing, business development, and technical experience in the high tech software industry to his role as president, Asia Pacific Operations at TIBCO Software Inc.

Prior to this role, Mr. Mehta was senior vice president of global sales and marketing and a member of the executive committee for TIBCO Finance Technology Inc. (TFTI), a Reuters company. Before TFTI, he held senior executive management positions with TIBCO (formerly Teknekron Software Systems), where he was instrumental in growing the company that eventually lead to the formation of TFTI.

Prior to joining Teknekron, he spent 13 years at Hewlett-Packard, where he held key positions in domestic, international and industry marketing, sales management and MIS management.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA in marketing and quantitative analysis from Miami University.


» Gerry Mintz, President & CEO, Strategic Financial Solutions

Gerry Mintz has over 20 years of experience in the B2B information services and enterprise software industries, primarily in the financial services markets. He is currently President and CEO of Strategic Financial Solutions, the leading provider of software (PerTrac) and information services in the alternative investment (hedge fund) market.

Prior to joining SFS, Gerry was President of Executive Programs at Gartner, Inc., a $100M business unit serving the technology information needs of senior IT executives. Prior to Gartner, Mintz was Executive Vice President and Global Head of Enterprise Solutions for Reuters, Inc., responsible for the global business in market data feeds and real-time enterprise information distribution software. Before joining Reuters, Mintz was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fame Information Services, Inc., a venture-backed analytical software and information company serving the financial, economic, and energy industries. From 1993 to 1999, Mintz held senior executive positions at Thomson Financial, the $1.2 billion global provider of professional information services that is part of the Thomson Corporation (NYSE:TOC). While at Thomson Financial, he ran several business units and led the corporate acquisitions program. Prior to Thomson, Gerry held senior Executive positions at EJV Partners and Telerate.

Mintz was awarded a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1985. He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1974 with a BSEE in Electrical Engineering. In addition to his role as an advisor to Vhayu, he currently serves on the advisory board of Milestone Venture Partners, an early stage fund, and is a Director and Audit Committee member of I-Trax Health Management Solutions, Inc. (Amex: DMX).
