The MATLAB Client Toolkit is a component of Vhayu Velocity™ and it allows users to access data and analytics from the Velocity Analytics Engine (both real-time and historical data) and to use the data for analysis within MATLAB. Two interfaces are provided by the MATLAB Client Toolkit:

• Query interface: Use this interface to make on-demand queries to the Analytics Engine.
• Subscriber interface: Use this interface to receive streaming updates based on a pre-defined configuration within the Analytics Engine.

Vhayu also provides a server side .dll for Matlab which runs locally in the Analytics Engine for enhanced performance.

The S-Plus Client Toolkit is a component of Vhayu Velocity™ and it allows users to access data and analytics from the Velocity Analytics Engine (both real-time and historical data) and to use the data for analysis within S-PLUS. Two interfaces are provided by the S-PLUS Client Toolkit:

• Query interface: Use this interface to make on-demand queries to the Analytics Engine.
• Subscriber interface: Use this interface to receive streaming updates based on a pre-defined configuration within the Analytics Engine.

Vhayu Vision™ is a framework which allows users to query market data in Velocity. There are several ways to interact with Velocity:

• A Time Series interface queries real-time and historical data and displays the results in a tabular or graphical format.
• A Watch List tool displays the latest values of user configured stock lists in a grid.
• An Analytics tool provides a Tcl script editor which allows the user to run scripts.

Vision is designed for user configurable display and flexibility and supports data from any asset class.

XLStream is a plug-in for Microsoft Excel connecting spreadsheets to the Vhayu Velocity. XLStream allows quantitative analysts and traders who prefer operating in Excel to stream massive amounts of data directly to their spreadsheets. Two interfaces are provided by XLStream:

• Query interface: Use the query interface to make on-demand queries to the Analytics Engine.
• Subscriber interface: Use the subscriber interface to receive streaming updates based on a predefined configuration within the Analytics Engine.
